Terms of Service

Welcome to SVGSketch. By accessing or using SVGSketch (“the Service”), operated by SVGSketch LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a Massachusetts limited liability company, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

SVGSketch is a browser-based SVG editor that allows users to create, edit, and export scalable vector graphics. The Service includes a free tier with local-only editing and optional cloud features that require an account.

2. Accounts

Some features of the Service require you to sign in with a Google account. By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or computer systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our express permission
• Use the Service to create, store, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable

4. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all rights to the SVG graphics and other content you create using SVGSketch. We do not claim ownership of your content. By using cloud storage features, you grant us a limited license to store and serve your content back to you.

Our Service

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is the property of SVGSketch and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written consent.

5. Third-Party Content & Assets

The Service allows you to search for, import, and edit third-party content such as stock photos, icons, logos, and other vector graphics from external providers (including but not limited to Pexels, Pixabay, and Iconify). By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use, modification, and distribution of any imported content complies with all applicable laws, including intellectual property, trademark, and copyright laws.
• Third-party assets may be subject to their own licenses, terms of service, and usage restrictions. It is your responsibility to review and comply with those terms before using any imported content in your projects.
• Logos, trademarks, and brand assets available through the Service remain the property of their respective owners. The availability of such content through the Service does not grant you any trademark license or right to use those marks for commercial purposes, endorsement, or in any way that could cause confusion about affiliation with the trademark owner.
• SVGSketch does not host, curate, vet, or endorse any third-party content. We act solely as a tool that enables you to access publicly available resources and edit them.
• SVGSketch is not liable for any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use, modification, or distribution of third-party content imported through the Service.

6. Cloud Storage

If you use cloud storage features, you understand and agree that:

• We store your documents on Cloudflare infrastructure to provide the Service
• We make reasonable efforts to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security
• You are responsible for maintaining local backups of important work
• We may impose storage limits or usage quotas, which may change over time

7. Free and Paid Tiers

Free Tier

SVGSketch offers free functionality that works entirely in your browser without an account. Free users can create and edit SVG graphics, export to SVG and PNG formats, and use all core editing tools. Free accounts include limited cloud storage for documents and assets.

Pro Tier

SVGSketch Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks additional features, including:

• Advanced export formats (PDF, GIF, JPEG, WebP, batch ZIP)
• Code generation (React, Vue, D3.js, CSS)
• SMIL animation export
• Data-driven chart tools
• Expanded cloud storage and document limits
• Real-time collaboration
• Access to the SVGSketch SDK and CLI

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

Free Trials

We may offer a free trial period for new Pro subscribers. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You will not be charged during the trial period.

8. Account Moderation

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or revoke access to paid features (including Pro tier access) at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that:

• You have violated these Terms of Service or our Acceptable Use policy
• Your account is involved in fraudulent activity or payment disputes
• Your use of the Service poses a risk to other users or the platform

If we revoke your Pro access due to a Terms violation, your active Stripe subscription will be canceled and no further charges will be made. We are not obligated to issue a refund for the current billing period in cases of Terms violations. For revocations unrelated to misconduct, we will issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.

You may contact support@svgsketch.com to appeal any account moderation decision.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SVGSketch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SVGSketch and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination where possible.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
